How much light for vegging mothers?

so this grow i have 17 clones in a 4x4 space and i'll be taking the 3 strongest & healthiest and put them in a 4x2 tent. How many 4ft t5's would i need to keep them vegging over the next 3 months?

I figure after I flower the others, i'll now whether to keep this strain. hope its bomb diamond og cuz i'd like to get these baby's under some real sun next summer.

so how many t5s for a 4x2 space with 3 plants in 3 gal containers? should i keep it to 18/6 cycle or could i afford to keep them in veg with lights on for 14 or 16 hrs?

I' would rather they not veg out quickly. just want to keep it in veg till i can clone again later and it'll help with keeping energy costs down.

For the same wattage of a bank of 8 4' you might look into a cheap 400 watt MH. Better penetration because the mothers get tall and the t5's won't do shit for the lower stuff.

dam amn i would flip 12/12 right now and SOG that tent up whats in there for a light now?

as far as the mother a 13 w CFL will keep her growing and letting her become rootbound will keep her from growing too large...if all your using it for is clones i wouldnt go crazy on wattage just keep a smaller watt CFL on it 24/7 and that will reduce energy costs and keep it growing at a pace where you can continue taking clones from it but its not outgrowing everything.
