Hey guys,

Only my second grow here not sure of the strain it was free bagseed. I'm using FFOF and FFHF for soil and I have a 600W hos. My trichome started turning cloudy about a week ago and I stop feeding now straight water till harvest. They are completely cloudy now. How long till they turn amber when should I harvest

Pistils maturing and turning orange yet? If your trich's are all milky you're good to harvest. Pressure's on now. It's all up to you  View attachment 4069953 This is what I always use as general guidelines.

Yeah i have seen that so many times when looking this up. Lol I want to wait to get more of the sleepy feeling to help sleep but I dont want to wait to long lol. I'll keep my eye on it i guess. How long do I have till they turn amber?

It's says I dont know the strain lol it was bag seed I got like 18 free seeds so I said what the hell I'll give it a go. I wish I knew tho because being my second grow it would be a hell of a lot easier now the strain and Pacific. My first grow was a lot easier being an auto

if they're all cloudy now, i'd go ahead and cut it. that's actually the peak of ripeness. the "amber" has been bred out of a lot of strains, and its always been a bad way to tell, anyway. amber is past prime, it's degrading, turning into cbn, which is what gives you the narcotic couch lock feeling. they'll continue to ripen for a few days after you cut them, anyway.
looks good, by the way

I was told that if I waited longer it would help more with sleep is that true or is it more strain depending

a little from column A.... like i said, they've bred the trait of Ambering out of a lot of strains, not intentionally, but as a side effect of trying to achieve other goals, so you can wait forever for some of them, and it'll never happen.
you have to look at other things too. have all the pistils receded? have the buds "swollen" ?, chunked up good towards the end?
does the strain foxtail? if it doesn't have a reputation for it, and you see them, its a good sign they're starting to go past "ripe"...
you can let it go for a while, it won't hurt anything, and it may start to amber, or may not. just watch for those other things, or you may let it go too far, and it'll just make you nod off on the couch every time you smoke it
