How much mold is too much? When to toss?

The mold stuff got bagged and was appropriately dealt with.

I still have the other stuff in the Grove bag untouched since I tried to sort out mold vs. no mold, unsure what to do with it. I've got a head lamp on the way and I'll be doing another inspection. It didn't look like rot, there was never rot, and it wasn't at the base of the stalk like the rot I saw before. It was only just sparse and spread very thin in the spots I did find it. When you opened it, there was no brown or dying looking, just the tiniest patch of isolated mold almost in the middle, not near the base.

Thanks for all the replies thus far! Sad this had to be my first thread, but now maybe I can interact and stop the problem from happening again.

On the subject, what's the recommended clean up/wipe down?
Bleach water diluted about 5 to 1, wipe everything then wipe again with clean damp rags, i go over everything a third time with a dry towel.

All fans/devices removed and broken down as much as you can, get a can of compressed air to reach the parts you can't wipe & get all the dust off. I let everything sit at least 24hrs before reassembling. Don't forget to wash or change your carbon filter's outer pre-filter.

From what I've heard m. Bleach/water on all the tent surfaces, fans, light fixtures, tent poles. Get the blades of the inline fan... everything. I think Isopropyl & a microfiber cloth for the diodes on the lights. I lysol'd my entire room/carpet. Vacuuming for sure, shampoo probably wouldn't hurt if you got carpet. New furnace/ac intake filters.

A hepa filter for room with UV wouldn't hurt either, minimize spores. Depends how hard you wanna go!

Regulatory limits for cannabis mold, bacteria, mycotoxin etc. testing can vary significantly between states. Most agree that mycotoxin testing is essential, and the maximum allowable limit is 20 ppb of mycotoxins in a gram of flower. If you can see it, it’s most definitely going to fail. So many dispensaries remediate their moldy shit so it can pass, honestly, I’d rather grow my own... If you can’t see it, it’s probably not going to harm you. In Hawaii, there was a cannabis cup called the jungle cup, the winner in the flower category had a lil mold on the inside, the judges picked around the mold and still selected it as the winner… funny huh… if your buds got mold, usually the tips of the nug (new growth) won’t have any mold, compared to where it’s usually found, deep inside near the stem. Just my 2 cents…. You could be throwing away some potentially good medicine afterall we don’t have any pictures of the mold you claim there is… how are we supposed to tell you if it’s ok or really bad??? Of course most people will say toss it, but I could show you one pic of a bud littered with mold then another pic with a little speck of mold, you’d probably be ok picking around the mold on the well grown bud than the obviously moldy one if you had to pick. I understand some people don’t want to take chances, but if youre super concerned about that then go get it tested and find out what you’re dealing with :)!!!!! Maybe it’s not what you thought, maybe it’s something else. Send pics that’s the best way for us to help, words are a figure of our own imagination, your really bad moldy bud could be someone’s “eh it’s fine” bud.

Usually if it’s black and fuzzy, it’s probably harmful. Dead growth will be followed up with mold/bacteria.
