ive got a question...
i have a huge space heater i bought at home depot, its use's two speeds.
1200w and 1500w, im curious, when i have the heater on high its using 1500w?
so meaning if i had 1000w hps its actually using less power then the heater???

ok yea, but you also have a a/c, fans, heaters, dehumid. etc, of course its gonna cost you over 75$ a month for a complete room of 2-600w- ballasts and a/c and the rest of the goods..

im just curious,
past the fact of his grandparents noticing the 75$ extra a month(if that much)
will the electric company say something to you? is it ok, to go over 75$ a month if you normal bill is 75$, is it ok to pay 150$ a month if your bill and the people who lived there b4 u bills was 75$, would it be ok to go over almost 10 months of the year to 150$????!!!???

the prices I gave were for just the lights.Fans,a/c units/co2 tanks water pumps and such are gonna cost more of course.

$75 isnt to much to even notice. Change all the house bulbs to cfl 23 watt lights instead of 60 or 75 watts and that cuts half the usual bill.As long as the bill is paid on time cash is best then no issue.A computer uses about 200-400 watts, big screen uses 150-700 watts, portable heater uses 1500 watts

so, with two 600w lamps, a/c heater at night...dehumid. fans pumps, i guess co2 i would lean more to the water pucks they have, or the co2 bucket with the air bubbler instead of a tank...

but like i said in my last comment, doubling ur normal electric bill 10 months out of the year is that causing a red flag?

not if you just raise it from $75 to $150 its like you got a new tv or home computer.make the change to cfls around the house and you can potentially not even change your bill.I halved my bill by changing bulbs and turning anything off not needed then added my lights and was still under what I was originally paying. Now when I flip on another 1000 watt light or another 600 watt light my bill goes above where it used to be.You can safely figure 1 1000 watt light per bedroom in the house wont even raise a concern so 3 bedroom house can run 3000 watts without isue..pay on time in full
