How much should I deleaf for a proper dry trim after dry

I was wondering how I could help these plants, (in order from top right-clockwise) JH, Slurty3, GMO s1 clone, gelato 41. Growing in coco/perlite+compost/soil mix in a 2.8ftx2.8ft tent under a 200watt samsung LM301b light, using Dr.Earth, day 52. I feel the JH and Gelato 41 are almost done both plants are on the right side. And I wanted to know how much leaf to take off after harvest for a dry trim after drying??
Any solid help/advice would be appreciated

many people will remove the fan leaves, dry then trim the rest down.

Also, I know you did not ask but imo your plants have a few weeks left, a lot of white hairs still. let them mature, and your buds swell and you will be much happier with the end result

Looking great though!

I remove anything with a "tail" so basically all medium & large fan leaves, I also make a very specific effort to remove any "crows feet" the 2 little leaves at the base of each bud. Those just end up being a bitch to trim and look ugly imo. I also run Centurion DBT1 trim machine so if I leave that shit on the branches it makes me have to go through and snip it all by hand.

If you have a proper environment for curing, a reasonable environment for dry hanging weed is like 65/60% imo, the weed will dry properly regardless of how many leaves you pluck off come harvest. If you have a dryer warmer environment you might want to be a little less extreme on how many leaves you pluck.

I personally cure in a 4x8' tent with inline & exhaust carbon filters, inline fan I run @ lowest setting, exhaust highest setting for a little vacuum action. Hanging all branches from hangers, almost packing the hangers entirely. Here's an example of how it looks when I'm done harvesting and hanging the plants. They usually sit in the tent for a good 8-10 days before I can trim them. I wait until the leaves are able to be flicked off.

I am not a grower, no guts, no nugs. I read a lot in here tho, and
i am pretty sure i read you want to shoot for amber color trichs. Right???

And,

Was that 6 hangers in there? Wowee.
Your room is in the house, right? How's the smell in the rest of the house, or even outside, for that matter?

Most of the RIU growers have stopped using just trichs to determine ripeness. We will watch the pistols first for them to all change color and curl up, then we watch calyx's for them to swell up and make it look like the pistols are receding, from there some may start checking trichs, other will never bother.

The issue with checking just trichs is often times they can change amber from rough handling, wind damage or other similar issues so they can give a 'false positive' kind of appearance.
