how much sun does my plants need?

Morning sun is also better for a plant than evening sun because it will help dry any dew/moisture that forms on a plant helping to prevent mold and/or bud rot.

morning sun is most beneficial. less than 5 hours leads to uncontrollable stretching. most people get at least 8 hours out of the day. according to your pics you look fine though. but more light more growth! good luck

Thanks for the fast response, i think i can do alittle trim on some trees and catch about an extra hour of morning sun..Plus those pics were early last month they have grown to about 5 foot apiece now...We have had a very hot and humid summer almost everyday highs in the 90's and humidity puts us at 100-108 degree heat index, one of my plants almost burnt up so i moved it next to the other to cut down on direct sunlight. Man they are drinking alot of water...The one plant is a lemon skunk the other is bagseed..

5 hours is fine, especially if you have strong sun in your climate. MJ even grows outside in the UK !!

Mine only get like 4ish hours of sun i would guess, and they have a little stretching, but are doing fine. The only difference is that mine dont get much side lighting and naturally lolipopped. I wouldn't worry if i were you, but since i get less sun i am worried about the buds being small or airy :/
