Trying to work out roughly how much thc is in my butter. Usually I use 28g of high quality strong flower to 250g of butter. I did a few calculations but then realised that maybe in the process the weight of the butter is reduced so wasn't sure how to work out, for example, how much thc there is in 1g of the cannabutter. Can anyone help. Thanks

Here's how I'd approach it. Assuming your starting weed was 20% THC (20gms/100). You would have 5.6gms of THC in all that butter (.2 X 28 ). So, in 1 gm of butter, you would have .0224 (5.6/250) or 22.5 mg of THC per gram of butter.

Just my 2 cents, fuck the %, when people ask me "how strong is it" I suggest that they take 1/2 (2.5ml) or 1/4 tsp & "judge for yourself".

Yeah trying it is the best way to know your preferred dose. What's your ratio of butter to weed in weight terms?

28 grams of say 18% weed is 180x28 or 5040mg. Assuming you strained off the weed you lost about 20%. So now it's now 4032mg.
Divide 4032mg by how many current grams you have to find thc in mg per gram of butter.
Another way is to use cups and tsp. 48tsp per cup. One cup of butter at 4032mg is 84mg per tsp. Most glass measuring cups have oz, ml, and tsp.
You'll have to plug in your own numbers but you should get the idea. It's the available total thc in mg divided by the dose or gram or tsp or whatever.
