How Much Time Do You Invest In Your Girls?

This will take a little bit of math, but I think the result would be enlightening.

Take the average amount of time (in hours) that you spend working your grow each week, MULTIPLY by the number of weeks between harvests, and DIVIDE by the number of ounces you get at each harvest.

For me:

About 1.5 hrs. per week* 9 weeks between harvests /6 oz.---> 135min./oz.

We look at growing efficiency in terms of space, time, watts and cost, but rarely the amount of time we spend on it. I just have a small grow for myself, so I am sure I am a lot less efficient than larger and/or outdoor grows-- hope some of you will take the time to participate.

BTW- time spent on RUI or staring at your plants in a stupor does NOT count as time spent on your grow!

i spend a solid half hour a day at least looking and inspecting them. i mean inspecting leaves, topsoil, any new growth or trichome production, etc.
it is a bit unnecessary, but it IS my first grow, and i like to see any change, however small, in plants as soon as they happen (so i wouldnt classify this as a staring stupor). trying to retain as much as possbile so my Black Jacks are only an improvement on my method =D

i wish i could use your formula and give you an answer in the form you asked, but my first ever harvest is still 2 weeks away.

Thanks for the info. You could make a wishful guess about your harvest (3 plants==> 6 oz. or so).

realistically, id be happy with 3.5

so, an average of 3 hours a week, x8 (hopefully) = 288m per oz (if 5oz), or 411m per oz (if 3.5).
not looking too great for my first run, but the time actually spent in the garden next run should be decreased (as far as actual work goes).

I suck at math so ill just throw the numbers out there I suppose. I sower for 70 days and spend about 10 minutes a day in there, so 70 minutes a week. And yield about 22oz. So 7.77 something? I'm not sure what that 7 signifies though.?
