How Often Do I Put More Nutes In The Water?

it should be std hydro, clean and put new newts in 7-10 days check every few days with ppm meter or after you top off every day or 2.
I haven't actually set up my Hydro system yet. I suppose I need to get a ppm meter.

How many ppm should it read - Say I'm using a 15 gallon tub.

ppm is a parts per million meter for measuring newts. I use the ppm stick from blue point I believe. it's easy and idiot proof. there almost required to make great pot not good pot. little guys my meter will read .4-.5 and bump them up to 1.4-1.5 I have some white widow in soil and I'm feeding it 2.4 nd its going great. the meter lets you know how strong your mix is by testing the water not just measuring out amounts.

So... Whatever hydro nutrient I decide to choose from (seeing as how they're a milliong to choose from) and regardless of how large or small the container is, I should give feed the plants about 2.4 ppm? Does it matter how many plants?

no, 2.4 will nuke starter plants start off small with 1/4th to 1/3rd strength and work your way up to full. A ppm meter is to see how strong your mix is, thats it. say you add your water and newts and your leavs are showing they want more measure, add, measure. it will help you with free pouring too. In my soil app I have a big rez and I will free pour and check and pour some more untill my ppm is where I want it in that way it just saves time. I'm not sure how to help you, i dont want you to get off track.

No no. I'm not getting off track, you've actually tought me a lot. So, now I underdstand the ppm thing. Now just about what nutes to get. I've heard good things about the FLORA... The FloraBloom, FloraGro, and FloraMicro. I've seen these names in the forums before. I understand from growing in soil that I need the FloraBloom and FloraGrow, but what about the FloraMicro?

Well all the newts that you have mentioned above are general hydrophonics newts. they work great for a hydo setup I have never myself used them in a soil app but maby it's worth a try. I thought you were goig to be using a diy aro setup? But to answer your question yes the mico, bloom, gro is a 3 part set that you want to use all togeather.

Correct me if im wrong but keep a journal of your readings. If your ppm is rising then just add water, if your ppm is dropping the add water and nutrients.
