How often should I add water to my waterfram 8 ?

My timer has 6 on off settings how many times and day should I set it and for how long ?

I have the water farm 8 pack under a 1000 Watt.

Seedling are about 5 days old

Currently in running it for an hour to an hour and a half every day 6 times a day

you need to turn your 8 pack into a recirculating system.hows your ph? when you turn your system into a recirculating system you do not use the drip rings anymore.the water doesnt just sit there in one spot.your 8 pack will stay cleaner longer.your plants will grow bigger and stronger.there no need for bubblers or air stones.It makes it so much easier to use.every thing works the same with the float.I will be glad to show some pictures if you pm me our just ask in this thread. I just dont want to bore anybody. you wont believe the difference. watch watering from the top the water drains threw hydroton and kinda wilts the bottom half of the plants.the tops should be good though. pretty soon you wont even be using the ring. well hope i helped.

Hey crisc,

How are they growing with 6 to 9 hours a day of watering? If they look ok, keep feeding them plain pH'd water, check the pH at least every other day and give them water as they need it.

If they aren't doing well and it looks like they are overwatered, then back off the feeding time to half an hour each watering. If that doesn't work, back it off further to 15 minutes each watereing.

Keep your pH between 5.5 and 5.8. In a few weeks start nutrients when they tell you.

I would set the timer for it to come on twice a day for about 10 minutes just dont over water.

So, far they look great at wating 6 times a day for and hour.

you have to remember they are sitting under a 1000Watt light for 18 hours about 4 feet away.
