How Often To Feed Nutes?

Hey i have 4 plants that are kept very small, they are around 40-50 days flowering but still have some ways to go.

I have MG bloom nutes and i jsut readjusted the strength,, it turns out i was using 2-3 times as much as directed/

Now that its sorted out i was wondering how often to use the nutes and how often to feed just water... my plants have been having nute def, then nute burn every other day and its affecting yield.. help would be great!!

there's no real schedule to follow, most people just go by what their plants look like, increasing nutes to them as they get bigger and start taking in more....

but what i've been doing is nute water one day, then try to switch to regular water the next day...then back to nutes.

im about 40 days into flowering as well, and the plants seem to be able to just take the nute water every day if i wanted... i'm using fox farms organic tiger bloom nutes and big bloom right now.

just make sure your pH is adjusted and make sure not to put too much nutes in, the recommendation fox farms gave me was 2 tsp per gallon of tiger bloom and i use about 1 in a 3/4 gallon container. that should give you an idea, but then again all plants are going to be different.

better to be using less nutes, and not giving your plants as much "power boost" than too much and end up burning them. plants grow without nutes just fine, many people choose that route on here. just remember that :)

hope this helps.

you could switch to some other nutes possibly fox farms and see how they work?? that could help. otherwise you just have to find the right balance i suppose.

I give my girls only quarter of what it says on the tin until theyre taking it then slowly up the dose as i go, now heres a little info to get your girls into a good feeding schedule, you decide when the time to change on each step, depending on the length of veg and flower time....remember start weak and build the nutes on each feed

Seedlings = 2-1-2

Early veg = 4-2-3

Mid veg 10-5-7

Cycle changeover 7-7-7

Early flowering = 5-10-7

Mid flowering 6-15-10

Late flowering = 4-10-7

Like i said make your own mind up on times to change nutes play with it see what you can do its a good regime, always feed quarter or half of what it says to building up the amount as your plants get used to taking it up.

Usually it's recommended to:
Feed,
Rest,
Water,
Rest,
Repeat.

Instead of water, between feeding, some people choose to use a microbebrew* with less nutrients to build up than the feeding* nutrient solution and a little bit of carbohydrates(molasses).
