This is only going to be my second go at a soil/coco mix I mix ocean forest with black gold coir.

This time i mixed in some hydroton type rocks with the mix.

What i sorta need to know is how often should i be watering with a 7 gallon pot and 5 gallon pot I have herd of guys mentioning root rot and i think i might have noticed alil bit of this the first run.

I also dident know how to feed and still dont the first run i mixed in some stove ash and alil gauno and i only had some big bloom fox farms nutes to feed them so they dident seem to do all the well.

So i guess my next question is how often do i feed a 2 month old 2ft plant with this mix.

What i have is some grow big and some floracious plus stuff the grow shops give out i usaully put a drop of that in my water along with a cap of the grow big into a 2.5 gallon water jug that is 75% full of water i then ph.

Now i know i have read and herd of some horror storys trying this mix but i have also herd if you control it right and give your mix the right love your plants will be double the size of plain soil and you will also get stronger and tastyer buds that soil grows offer along with the bigger yields coco offers and faster growth.

So far they were growing good at first now they are starting to slow down been topped and super cropped and the leaves appear like a lemon lime color a couple weeks ago all three appeared dark green.

Water when they get dry. Your environment in your grow area has a huge impact on how long that takes. I water every three to four days normally, and I use nutes every other watering so about once per week.

A recommendation... Go simple until you have more experience. Don't be mixing up funky shit. If you run into a problem in your grow, you are going to have no idea what the culprit is. Get a brand of nutes, follow its chart, easing up to teh recommended dosage if you ever get there. DynaGro Foliage Pro can be used alone from start to finish...

I don't grow coco, I do a soil mix myself. Mixing coco with soil makes me wonder where you should be targeting PH...

Good advice Dad!

I might add to stick your finger in the soil about 2 inch's.
Feel dry = water
Fell moist = not yet

Some folks add Coco to soil mix's for it's ability to hold moisture.....I don't care for that....pH of soil with coco should not be an issue.

Dyna FP = a great place to start!

ok what i kinda said is what ph of water would the medium like and i also mentioned using ff grow big for nutes. So far i have phed the water to around 5.5-6.0 and feed with the stuff i mentioned i just need to know how to control my mix.

Sounds kinda like some of you guys use one or the other straight soil or coco.

So far what i notice is the mixture tends to hold water. So do i water with nutes every time they feel dry or use nutes everyother time i water
