How old can I start Flowering?

well if it's any consolation, males generally show sex before females soooo.... you're tipping the scales toward female. maybe your plant doesn't have a sex! lol jk. are you sure it's not stinging nettle? only a couple more days of waiting. bet you're going crazy huh.

Pretty much just waiting around, eating shrooms. I have a shit load of them growing. Ill take some picks of those to. but here are some more recent pics. since I have remodeled the growing enviro. Sorry some of the picks are blurry one question is it the aluminum what is causing the tips of my leaves to appear burnt?

did you feed it flowering ferts recently? half-strength applications are recommended because even normal amount for other flowers could burn marijuana. could be the beginning of nutrient burn or maybe it just came in contact or too close to the light?

Probably nute burn I gave them 15-30-15, since I gave it to them I practice flushing them with fresh water for the next week. can you see any sign of gender?

i'm not sure i would recommend flushing unless the burn spreads (burnt tips just means it has all the nutes it can take with a slight excess.) just back off the nutes to half strength and stick to about every 14 days. as far as sexing, i can't even see the calyxes in the pictures so you probably need a magnifying glass to see if they're raised on a stem or not. looks good though! what strain is it? or was it just some green bud? nice indica fat leaves =]
you know, i was thinking about it last night and if there is any kind of light getting to the plant when it's in dark cycle (yes even the little lights on electronics) your plant could think it's still in veg where it could take until the age of 6-8 weeks to show sex. so when the lights go off make sure it's dark enough that you can't see your hand in front of your face (or close to it at least).

I have it quite dark there is possibility that light gets in it is a dresser, but I used that foam weather stripping on all the drawers and the door and everything but I can see a small spot of light coming through when my lights are off. So I will close it a little better. Do you think the lack carbon dioxide would slow it down to?

in my opinion if you weren't getting sufficient airflow/replacement your plants wouldn't look as good as they do. so they're probably getting enough co2. higher levels of co2 will increase your yield up to 75% in theory. i'd definitely have to lean towards the light leak. you can hope it doesn't make much of a difference once you fix it. could have caused some stretching too if that wasn't caused by the higher temps in the beginning of the grow. can also be from having the plants too far from the lights but i don't think that's the issue.
so how much light has gotten in there would you say (in average hours per day, during dark period of course).

in total maybe ten minutes. man my cubes are growing like crazy though.

complete darkness has been created for them during lights out. there is still no sign of sex so im just going to sit back and wait and eat some mushrooms.

looks like a girl from what I can tell (blurry pics are waste of everyones time as well as it is litter on the net) You're nodes are even so they are too young too flower, I see the one with uneven nodes at the top and that looks to be a girl. You must wait till the branches get uneven on either side and not even as that tells it is time or ok to induce flowering if you choose

1. ALL plants get alternating nodes not just females.
2. Most people induce flowering before alternating nodes or preflowers. ESPECIALLY under cfl's... the 150w (42w) cfl's only have about 5-7 inches of penetration. you expect an indica to double its size once you put it into flowering, do the math.

cali this forum is about being friendly and sharing information, you have some good information mixed with opinion. I understand some of my pictures are blurry and that should only reflect the fact I have a shitty camera yet I still try. My plants have also within the last 2 days started to produce an odor, like a mild pine and skunk, the pine smell being stronger. I was also wondering would humidity play a roll in this since I have virtually 0% humidity. I do mist the plants on occasion with a mix of water / unsweetened 100% pure apple juice / and molasses which is supposed to help with the budding process and create a milder smoke with a faintly sweet taste. I will post some more pics possibly tomorrow or the next day as nodes are starting present themselves, but they are only little bumps at the moment even under my 12x scope.

this is my big one at 20 days of 12/12. i've been letting it wake up with the sun at 5:30 and put them in my grow room at 5:30pm. i also have the lights in my growroom set to go off at 5:30pm so it functions as a darkhouse for my outdoor/indoor plant =]
i did find spidermites again tho =/ it's unavoidable when you live in the dry dusty valley like i do. i used this floramite stuff about 3 months ago (barely any of it) and it killed them and all the eggs. stuff goes a long way and wasn't too expensive. glad i caught it early cuz the buds are starting to form as you can see.

I am all for misting my plants with water and nutes but i dont think i would use mollasas in the mix. I can see it leaving a sticky film on the leaves and buds when the water evaporates. I usually just mix the mollasas in my regular waterings.

If your growing under fluorescents it will take longer to sex them. Just my opinion. Good luck

ty for the I have never used cfls to grow before always just grew outside and the did good. question though. how short can I keep a plant and still get a good yeild my grow box like 18" x 28" x 18" LxHxW yea and I wanted to know can I grow a plant and flower the same plant more then once, like re veg it for a month or so and put it back into flowering?

I wouldnt say 3 times max, Ive had plants grow 5 or 6 times thier size. Barneys Farm lsd is one strain off the top of my head that stretches 5 or 6 times. shoot I had to top mine during flower cause it was gettin close to the light and started at 11 inches tall. Grew 6 ft.
