How quick after topping have you flowered?

Topped some Monday around 9PM because I was concerned about filling out my canopy... was running a bit short on healthy plants to flower this time. As luck would have it, my plants have experienced explosive growth in the last 5 days and I'm regretting the topping. I wish I could have started flowering a few days ago, but I want to give them time to relax from the topping.

You think if I flower Saturday AM they will be fine? A few of them are getting to the point where if they get much taller they are going to require an extreme amount of tieing down and work to stay in the flowering room if they can at all. Am I running the risk of hermies if I flower before a week after topping I'm guessing?

it's normal to flower 7 days after a pruning session. pruning can also be done again at day ten of flower (topping in flower is never ideal). i've had sativas get way too lanky on me, and chopped the heads off in flower. still produced 2-4oz per plant.

cutting anything in flower will lower yield. this is done in sog to maximize apical bud growth, so by lowering total yield, you're actually increasing your quality.

I try and wait 2 weeks after any pinching, topping, etc. A few times I had to rush them out to make room for new set. Sometimes it was after 3 days of topping, fim, etc. Never a real problem. Just no new growth for a few days.
Next time you top, wait for the branch that was toped to start growing then you no its all good.
