i have 4 going, pic below, and I ordered a jewelers loupe online to tell as early as possible, what I have.

Without clipping off a leaf/faking the plant into 12/12, how soon will I be able to tell? I germinated Mid May--- when would I be able to use the loupe to see who to keep?

Mine are 5 weeks, maybe 6 and the females expressed at least a week ago maybe 9 days and the male was visible about 4 days ago In my experience the Sativas I have grown show usually by the 6th week. I couldn't tell how many nodes because I usually top them after the 4th node.

I sex mine early, they all show by the 3rd leaf set...and a loop is not needed...these two fine white pistils identify it as female...as you see in the second pic, 3rd leaf set up, left side the 2fine white pistils...I need that 4-5wks for growth, not sexing....

Sexing is it's own process, and once you fully understand it, sexing is done within 2-3 wks after germination...as you see by the size and sexed out plants in the pic...you can tell by the size they are clearly less then a month old and already sexed..

Dang! Oh well At least you got some practice in right? I have heard good things about black sugar rose too. It sounds extravagant just by the name alone.
