you can always take a nice fresh leaf and put it in with the dry bud and the moisture from the leaf will get drawn into the bud.. same thing with say fruit slices and stuff like that..
it works ok for a small amount of bud.. it's never going to make the bud as good as it would have been if it wasn't over dried, but it does help some..

you can cut a potato or an organge slice or a cut up strawberry in the bag with it and let it sit there and check it every thirty minutes untill desired moisture is reached. i prefer strawberries or orange slice but most people who i know did it to increase weight and they used a potato and it only took 30 to 45 mins

Yes, you can put in leafs and pieces of fruit, grass, lettuce,...etc to moisten up the bud, but I warn you to keep an eye on how long you keep it in the container your storing it in. If you don't mold can and will happen. Check at least 2 to 3 times a day and just set it in the container with the bud, not on top of it or touching it. And it doesn't take a lot of material to moisten it up a little goes a long way. Smell and overall smoke are definitely affected by this technique however, and is done only as a last resort.

The best way that I found is to take ear swabs and get there ends wet usually 2-3 sticks and tape them to the lid of a Tupperware container and put said weed into Tupperware close the container. Let it sit in a warmer area for 30 minutes and check if you want more add more time. Works well.

I have a pound in seal a meal with a Boveda humidor pack in for 2 months.
Once a guy had one for a year, no problem at all.

www.bovedapacks.com

For shake I use a corn tortilla as the humidor packs are $5 but the bud is worth it.
I use 4 oz per packet in a mason jar for 3 days.

I have what should have been about a quarter lb, but turned out to be 3 oz. Kick ass smoke, just way to dry Think I'll try the potato idea, or the cotton on the lid idea and see if it works. Thanks, if anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Yup he got it.....Just put a fresh orange peel piece ( not too big) in with the weed in a sealed container for a day or so. check it every day, a few times a day. For me, somethin about citrus peels works great, it even brings a little stickyness back...If i ever have dry buds i use orange/tangerine peels 100% of the time

Of course u can. Usually just high rh and a few rainy days will do it but if your in a hurry get a tupaware container with lid, get a plastic cup that is shorter than the hieght of container , put a couple of clean tissues soaked in water in the cup and place it the middle with the dry dope around it. Put the lid on tight and 24 hrs later its no longer crispy, just right. This is cleaner than potatoe, fruit mango apples strawberrys etc, you dont need a mold attracting fruit salad in your dope container. Use clean tissues and cup each time.

I have tried most of the above and found a piece of celery works the best, I use a 3 inch long piece in an oz for 24 hr. cut it into 3 strips and put in the bag and seal. When I do pounds I just us ro water and a mister, about 10 pulls over them spread out in a glad bag, the large kitchen catchers (31L) than shake the bag a bit suck the air out and into a space bag for 36 hours. Presto dank sticky weed. This will make it all stick together and will harden up the nugs a bit by the compression of the space bag.

The term 'rehydrate' is a little misleading.
If you over way dried your stuff soon after harvest (im assuming this is a fresh harvest) there is no way to restart the decarboxylation and fermentation processes taking place. These are chemical processes. Once they stop, they dont restart. They need a good amount of humidity to perform.
You can 're-wet' your harvest, but as racerboy pointed out, it will only be as good as when it ran out of the humidity required for fermentation.
