How tf do you decide strains?

Not all clones are equal
Just because you can find cheap clones, elite cuts are few and far between depending on who you know
Guarentee no clones are worth 6x the price to me, might be stronger and bigger but im sure not 6x stronger and bigger. Those bruce banner clones I can get grow monster plants that taste good and get me stoned. If it excretes opium or dmt maybe but I highly doubt thats the case

I have grown Pre98 bubba , chem91, Northern Lights, ECSD, Original Sour diesel, Purple Passion , C99, Exodus Cheese,GSC, Chocolate Trip, GG #4 and several others all thru friends
I wouldn't have a long enough life to search thru seeds to get the chance to try them
Most were free but some I have paid up to a $100 bucks for
Well worth it since you can keep the strain as long as you like

I have bought several strains of seeds and grown them as well.. Also fyi you can clone off from clones... Pretty sure the whole idea that it will get weaker each time you do that is a myth

I like to have a good kush, haze, and skunk if I can. Used to be pretty easy to decide but nowadays they name things in such a way that you don't really know from their names what they are. But do your research and you should be able to find the lineage.

FastBuds are located in Spain (Catalonia) and the team does not accept compromising quality for the sake of quantity – producing only authentic and powerful cannabis seeds genetics from the West Coast. Buy their whole range of feminised and auto flowering seeds at the Attitude.

Got this straight from Attitude website.

My advice would be to look for breeders and strains that OTHER breeders use in their own breeding. I'm into Bodhi seeds for instance... the number of other breeders who use his stuff is growing like wildfire. Just off the top of my head, without endorsing any in particular, you see many crosses made with genes from companies like Brothers Grimm, Subcool, Crockett Farms, Serious Seeds, Exotic Genetix. What you don't see are many breeders using Barney's Farm or mysterious Spanish companies. You can get fantastic plants from them for sure but it's all about the odds... how many stinkers are you going to have to go through before you find a true queen. You're going to spend 4 months to find out if they're any good or not. Time and real estate are precious.

And then, before you make a purchase, search through the forums for other people's experience with those seeds. If you're ready to dig deeper, there are many smaller "boutique" breeders that are considered by their fans to be even better than most of the big companies... look for names that get boundless love in the forums. It's tough to negotiate all the noise for sure... just try to make a well educated guess.

I'd also recommend not getting too preoccupied with finding seeds from famous clones you love. Gorgeous women don't always have gorgeous daughters. Their sisters are probably more likely to be gorgeous than the daughters. You already know that the beauty queen's mom and dad are capable of making hotties.

That sounds like solid advice, I have heard a lot about bodhi seeds before, maybe I'll stick with then with the next order

I doubt anybody would criticize that choice. Bodhi's seeds are very cheap for the respect they command too. I've had excellent experiences with Great Lakes Genetics and JBC Seeds for Bodhi. They both sell seeds from many other highly respected US breeders too.

One last thing before I stop blabbing. Whatever you do, NEVER buy a strain because you like the name of it. That's like picking out music based on how much you like the band name. It seems like common sense, but you'd be surprised how many people pick a strain because it sounds like it would taste good. Look at the pedigree and proven results.

Those were all clones from clones
Growing seeds you rarely get the original parent
What's the issue with having clone seeds if they carry the same genetics? Idk just about everything you have said has seemed over the top bs you will never convince me that a single seed or clone is worth $100 or more

The people selling these seeds are laughing their asses off at the prices people are willing to pay I'm sure.

Agreed. Like dispensary clones. You think they are gonna sling their best genetics? No way. Not saying I haven't gotten some ok clones from dispensaries but nothing like breeder cuts that were found by shotgunning a large number of beans and selecting for the best traits. If you can get truly great genetics via clone, expect to pay a pretty penny. My bro recently put a Divine Gelato #3 breeder cut into our stable and it set him back $850 plus $85 shipping. He gets lots of good breeders cuts, some he gets a deal on because he knows the breeder, others he has to pay up for. I am lucky to just get cuts from him for free since I keep the moms around for when he wants a few cuts. ;) He knows one guy that has a massive stable of old school real deal cuts and they are $500 - $1000 each. Seems expensive but for what you are getting it's not a bad deal if you are a commercial grower. If you are just growing for personal then it's a steep price.

This just seems insane to me, I just dont see how they could possibly be worth THAT much more. I'm not a commercial grower and just about everyone I know that smokes grows so I would never be able to fetch a premium price that would make up that difference if I did. Legalizing weed made it dirt cheap here in michigan

I've been selling in MI for 20yrs now and people will always come to me before everyone because they know I have the best of the best. Sucks though cause most of the people don't really care they will smoke ass weed if it gets them high. Shit even the dispensaries pay 3200 a lb if your shit is bomb. 50 a q all day Ill trade an oz or two for a breeders cut no problem.

Well one of the keys in states like colorado is have something awesome and new lol. Then add in that the grower wants that to yield. So thats where getting good genetics comes into play.

Nobody I know has money for that expensive shit and you don't need it I can get some good outdoor for cheaper than the mexican brick weed used to be and some really good indoor for 150 an oz. You must live in a richer area than me or some shit
