I still love making Iso. I enjoy it for different reasons than that of BHO.

No bashing involved...simply trying to spread the knowledge.

How about grinding your 2 grams up next time, kiefing it, and then running that kief.

Wow that sounds like a lot of work.. especially in my little ass grinder. I'd need some kind of sieving screen to do that..

So I've been running more trials, and I've lowered all my times by 1 min with very minimal losses.. and I blame you that it's not ending there.

I have to do more runs, today was 1 min time and I came out with half yield but not 100% higher potency, which means noticeable lost. I would say the potency jumped maybe 50%, however, and it was noticeable in color as well as smoke.

A lot of work? It takes literally 2-3 minutes to sift 2 grams of buds. And you would just be extracting the trichomes and very little plant matter. Forget it man...you sound like one lazy ass mother fucker. No point in trying to help anymore. Peace.

minute yields always gave me semi golden product with a bit of green but not to much

anything over lots and lots of green comes in which again isnt bad if your aimin for it

just finished the thread and i agree with you all the way VO. Got a couple questions since im about to chop down my girls and dont wanna waste any of those crystals.

About 2 weeks to go and I still have a lot of fan leaves left, so i wanna put them to use since theyre covered in crystals (especially the leaf stems), and i dont have a keif screen so this method seems like the easiest.

So, can you just chop up and throw the wet fan leaves in the blender or do you have to dry them first? And if you have to dry them first what is the best way to do that? Also if you use a lot more than 2 grams, would this affect the freeze time? or do you only do 2 gs at a time?

Im right there with you, but you are already too advanced for the crowd. I like your idea brah, we blast kif-ed nugs and get great results.

Take a couple close fan leaves, let them sit in iso for 4 minutes...then let that dry out. All that green sticky oil contains no psycoactive compounds...and that is what is diluting your qwiso when you let it sit for so long. You can call them "organic matter" if that makes you feel better....but that organic matter is exactly what you don't want to be smoking in the first place...

I would much rather save my lungs...and grow some more buds...then soak my qwiso for that long.

Its the haves vs have nots. I throw away more THC with my ice water extractions than most people consume in their lifetimes. Quality only matters when you have too much quantity.

why would you not try and use solvent , ice water , dry ice to retreive the rest of the resin

Yeah sifting then making hash sounds even more wasteful.

Because I have trim by the ton and only seek the best of the best. I keep the trichome heads, the rest gets composted and fed back to the garden.
