Idk why any aite would fake this stuff. It's not hard products to source. I think you'll be fine. If not, you can claim fraud and get reimbursed since they can pull thr money back.

i'd go through amazon if they have a canadian based site, which i don't know why they wouldn't... you can't really beat amazon ime as they're pretty much the cheapest and you can always price shop..

and yeah, i've also never heard of a rip off hydro store before fwiw.. :D

^^^^I second that. I guess if u pay with a credit card you always have the recourse of a charge back if the stuff ain't no good. if you're going to pay by check/money order or cash you should definetly go with amazon.

Ok cheers for your replies! But really looking at a Canadian site so I don't have to pay custom fees etc..
I'm too busy to look right now, but I'll mark this thread and let you know who I've purchased from here in Canada in the next few days.

That said, I've bought from many U.S. vendors out of the US (amazon.ca/com, vendors from eBay.ca/com), and didn't have to deal with any customs (thank all that is good). I have to ship stuff to the U.S. periodically, and they want a left-nut to ship stuff in... thankfully I have staff that takes care of that paperwork. However, stuff coming to Canada from US isn't an issue.

One name that comes to mind is Gotham Hydroponics, where I've bought a few things, customs-fee free.

Discrete shipping as expected as well.

Locally, I don't know where you are in BC, but here in Calgary, I peruse around "Quick Grow" when I want to visit my local guys.

I am also interested to hear if growlights.ca is legit. They don't provide a contact address or phone number which raises my suspicion. I filled out the contact form and now waiting for a reply. Will post whatever I uncover.

Hey so did you guys get ripped off or not? I'm guessing everything was fine or you'd be spamming the crap out of this thread with warnings lol. But hey Brittishlion, I'm looking at a similar package from them. Did you end up buying the kit? and if so how was it? The tent quality and lights and stuff? Fill us in

Find a shop, google it, see what the review sites say. These days this is true for nearly anything be it a shop, a manufacturer, a car insurance company.

I have ordered from there *Growlights.ca*, the prices are decent and it ships pretty quick. Unfortunately I have had issues when receiving the product as in some items being damaged, they did fix one problem but it's not like they did me a favour I received a damaged piece and one light was messed up so I just had to get one locally. They have also sent the wrong size pot when ordering here as well, other than that the prices are decent and it ships pretty quick, just don't be surprised if something is a little banged up lol. And the tent had a horrible toxic smell when taking it out of the plastic wrap, the smell did go away after a couple weeks and running some fans in there though. I would order again certain items that are priced better than local shops. But it's justifiable to pay the little extra for certain things and convenience at local shops.

Well hydroshop.ca is garbage. Long story short, they charge you right away. When/if they will send you the item is a different matter. If you use a a credit card they also charge you 3% to cancel your order (one that they may never even send you!)

Here are some reviews:https://www.n49.com/biz/907323/hydroshop-qc-montral/
Buyer beware!

growlights.ca looks good and replies to emails quickly. Their prices in general are quite reasonable. Unfortunately they were out of stock of most things I wanted so I didn't use them. I ended up buying most of stuff locally. Its a pain in the but since most of the local hydro/grow shops have crappy websites that google can't find products in
