How To Clean A Bong!!!

What is the best way to clean a bong.

I have a plastic bong.

I broke my glass green mello yello bong.

I take my plastic one apart and put it in the dishwasher and wash it.
I do that atleast once a week.

It still has the bong taste to it.

I guess I need some kind of solvent that is not toxic.
I was thinking some sort of citrus..
It needs to friendly to the plastic also.

As a matter fact I cracked my glass bong one time before with hot water.
then the whole thing got snaped into.
This is why I went plastic for now.

Anybody had success with this?

what you need is Salt & Alcohol

get the alcohol thats least toxic to inhale just incase you dont rinse it out well.

the idea is to pore some salt into the bong with some alcohol (not drinking kind) then just cover the top and shake away for a nice 10 mins or so.
just watch the resin melt away. if you have problems some places you can let it sit in the mix and it should dissolve over night, or in my case scrap it off if it doesnt come off right away.

just remember if you dont have nothing to clean your tools try salt & alcohol

Surprised the shit out of me.

Whenever my bong gets a bit too dirty i leave it to soak over night and then try cleaning the rest of it with a brush like this...

My roommate did this with an acrilic bong and the alcohol ate the bong too! I do clean glass this way though...

If it is plastic. You can always just use a bottle brush and comet. It takes some work but it does clean it. But the easies way is with rubbing alcohol and coarse salt.

I tried salt and alcohal before foung that salt and vinegar does the job in like 30 seconts... not a big bong user... got a lot of bongs... don't use too often so none get too resined up... Blunts are the greatest.

I use both plastic and glass bongs. For the plastic a product called Goo-Gone which is a natural citrus oil cleaner works best. I have tried all ways including the salt and alcohol, detergents, solvents etc. ( I have struggled with this myself until I found Goo-Gone) Just squirt some in the bong ( I cover the top and the end where the slide goes in with plastic wrap and an elastic) fill it up to past your resin line so all the resin is covered. Leave on there over night (shaking every so often). The next day, rise out with hot water and maybe you may need a brush (old toothbrushes work great) to get the last off.

For glass bongs, never use hot hot water or you will crack it. The shit comes out with warm water if you rinse it out everyday with new water before you use it.

Careful using that mix on the plastic, don't leave on too long.

Goo-Gone can be found at any store really, in Canada we can get it at Canadian Tire, Wal-Mart, Zellers (KMart) Home Depot, Rona, stores like that, even some grocery stores carry it.
Check the cleaning aisles. It is a small 236ml bottle with pictures of what it will remove ie: lipstick, gum, stickers, crayons etc.

Do not put rubbing alcohol on the plastic piece!

I used alcohol to clean my wood pipe and it's mouthpiece. The mouthpiece was plastic and basically melted in the alcohol. For plastic, I would use a less harsh solvent than alcohol.

Ever think about good old soap and water?

One of my friends does it just like a coffee pot.
Take salt, ice and lemon juice.....shake it around for 3-4 minutes and rinse....The best part is it does leave a clean fresh smell and after taste.

... I dont use my bongs too often... so When I do there always dusty when I use them... so to get rid of dust inside and other flamable shit... I hold the bong sidways and let my lighter spew flamable gasses into the bong for like 10 secionds... than light... I did it once for like 45 seconds and light it it was loud as shit it was whistling and shit had my ears rining... cool as fuck though... want to try again but scary scaryyy
