So Im assuming I want to fill my tray with pots?Finding trays the right size will be hard, most are too big for my space.
Cutting down storage totes is an option.

Yeah you would ideally fit as many pots in your tray as you can for this style grow. How big is your space?, they have trays almost every size imaginable.

Hydroton absorbs almost no water. It gets wet, and then it drys back out. Thats why it works so well for flood and drain. You can get more air and more water to the roots more often.

Figure you want your tray to fill in under the 15 minutes if you can. I don't remember how big my pump is. I've had smaller ones in the past that I had to run the timer for 30 minutes to make sure the tray got totally full. Either way it works.
