HOW TO DRY FIRSRT BUD

I just pulled my first 2 plants today, and hung them up to dry. Few hours later whole house stunk. I then hung them up in my grow tent. Then I read that your not suppose to dry bud in light as the light robs the bud of THC. The light is on for another plant growing in tent. Any suggestions on where to dry this out. I was thinking in a cupboard in my garage. Suggestions please.

put it in box or paper bag in your tent.

Got them hanging in tent with big paper yard bags.

Yup, bags work. Or buy a tote and convert it in to a drying chamber by hanging string. Cut a couple small holes in bottom for air flow. Put the lid on the tote and you should be good go to by putting it in the tent. It'll keep most light out and allow the Buds to dry without the Buds being smushed against each other like in a paper bag.
