How to get a better yield

I'm about to begin my 3rd grow and I would like some tips so I get a better yield. My second grow was 3 girls and I got 2.1 oz total.
I'm using my spare shower as both veg and flower room. Here are my specs:

Veg - 4 weeks, 24 hour light (150 watt cfl per plant)
Flower - 12/12 light (450 watt hps)
5 gallon pots
Fox Farm Trio, Root 66, Superthrive, Gnatrol every other watering
temp 72 - 75 degrees F
humidity 80%
Expert garden potting soil

There are two things I'm doing differently this time around: using distilled water instead of tap and I covered my shower grow room with Mylar. What else can I do?

In a shower I bet heat is not an issue, if you increase your HID lighting you can increase your yield, I went from 400 to 1600w

I don't think you need to upgrade your HPS yet, 450w is more than enough for 3 plants.

I'd try vegging longer and adding more light to that stage.

Do not over do it on the superthrive, that stuff is to be applied 1ce when ur plants are seedlings or little clones.( but not too early)

Guano i saw my buds get bigger 3 days after first applied. I use it with molasas to help feed the micro-life in the guano

You'll have to play it by ear. The mylar will help, although a shower is usually all white, but still, i think mylar wil help. It would certainly help to up your veg lighting, even if you have to had your hps for like eight of how ever many hours you veg. Just the intencty will help on your plants, not too close, but lots of light. I have a switchable mh/hps 400w so i can go metal halide on them during vegging, love metal halide, so bright. Regardless, go for a longer time for your vegging, if you can wait till you see you plants obviously preflowering during vegging before turning your lights back. Most plants will start to show flower a little (some white hairs) if gone so long in a vegging cycle but that could take 3 months, but you need some hiegth and maturity to get some bud from all your work.
Stay away from topping and pruning, if needed learn low stress bending, its easy and cool, you can shape your plant pretty easily to fit what ever. Also, besure to use your cfls during flowering as well. Like I said, as much like as you have, use it. And hopefully you be happier with your results, good luck
