I want to grow the goods but my wife doesn't want me to do anything until I can grow without the "potential" for gettting into trouble. I live in California and I need to get the card. Can anyone help? Do you know of a specific doctor that will give the card? How much will this card set me back?

Post your answers for me and for others to learn the ins and outs of rollitup.org

The more specific you can be the better for all who need this knowledge. Thanks guys!

I don't know what area of CA you are in, but I know in SoCal you can go to Dr. Eisenberg, 877-GOT-KUSH. There's a bunch of doctors around, if you got to NORML and check out the list of dispensaries, then call one or go to one, they can tell you where to get a hold of a doctor for evaluation.

Thanks laserbrn. I live in the central valley of California, closer to Sacramento or Bay area.

Anybody else know of any doctors that don't have an issue issuing the card?

Not in your area. The closest one I know of is in Ventura. Another in Santa Barbara.

Usually the fee is $250 cash. They will want your medical records pertaining to your ailment. And ... they will probably do a physcial exam.

Once you have the letter of recommendation from the doctor, you DO NOT need a "card." The letter IS your card. Make copies ... one for your glove compartment, one for the inside door of your grow room and the original goes in your safe. If "caught" with bud, just show the officer your letter, and as long as you are complying with state and county laws, you're good to go.

State law mandates that you MUST be allowed to possess up to 8 ounces of finished bud and 6 mature, growing plants. That would be plants in flower. You have to check with your indivdual county though, because the amounts may be more ... but cannot be less than state law allows.

Hey fdd,
I have been comunicating with one of the doctors on the link that you provided and I will be getting an appointment with him in about a month. You are right, we do need medical records. In my case I will be sharing MRI's, X-RAYS, Medical notes and chiropractic notes from the past year. Thanks again for all your help! I'm tired of hurting and tired of being prescribed heavy pain pills that cost more than my mortgage.

Watch out world! Penny's about to get his card!

I didn't check every ailment that allowed someone to get the card. I checked the things that are affecting me most. They are chronic pain, degeneration of my neck do to multiple injuries and A.D.D.

Never mind. I just checked and epilepsy is the equivalent of having AIDs or HIV+. You would qualify! You should move to California
