Thats my theory. If a heat wave killed ten and one lived or early frost killed ten and one lived. The ones that adapt and overcame. The ones that have been severely stressed and still turn out healthy and strong. Like humans. Sometimes you find a person that is strong, smart, good looking, and healthy.

Don't listen to this. Just do a google search on "stress induced hermming". We all in the cannabis community know that cannabis can be stressed to produce nanners. What is stress? Environment.

i agree with this for the most part, hermies are mostly the result of poor breeding
but breeders/pollen chuckers like to blame growers for their shitty breeding
and it seems many growers who are susceptible to breeder hero worship are only to willing to accept blame
it takes a huge amount of repeated environmental stress to cause hermies
light leaks are an exaggerated cause imo, excess heat around colas can cause hermies
but again many well breed strains will be resilient to this

Lollipop your plant around the time they show bud sites (day 7-21 depending On strain). Your taking everything that doesn't get light away. It's a waste of energy. Do not remove any fan leaves above your lollipop line. I use two trellis nets 6 inches apart. Everything below the bottom one gets chopped off.

That was a good burn. Lol. I have never had 60% germs myself. I have had about 25%. And no I am not a inexperienced noob grower. It was HSO- green crack that was full of Hermes. I'm not sayin the fem seeds don't have their place, if one doesn't have much room to phenotype, that's a good option for them. Guerrilla grows from seeds, another good option.
I personally like the having both traits from the father and mother.

stable genetics do not herm... unstable genetics herm. fems are unstable due to traits lacking from the father plant. end of story and fact.
I never once got a hermie from a reg seed only from fems.

^^^^^ half assed would be a 60% herm rate. No One is saying fem seeds are awesome, they are just saying, without the hyroot, the % of hermies would be FAR less.

aside from the already mentioned? I prefer a lower chance of hermie and like finding that special pheno that has the traits I am looking for. I don't do a lot of seeds, I prefer to trade High quality strains for the same. then hang on to the elite cuts.

OG lines are well known for intersex problems with regular seeds too
hermies occur naturally
i have seen a few hermies with regular seeds, last one was biker kush from karma genetics

Just water it. I only watered this plant and look at the buds. This plant was only two feet tall. I broke some fiskars trying to cut buds off. Ha. Og Kush.

im not super experienced. Ive grown a few plants reg Ace seeds, very nice results. Ive grown quite a few fem Sannie, Ace, Ministry, Cannabiogen...never had a herm problem. i have decent environment not perfect.
Ive not noticed a quality difference in flowers of reg vs fem.
Does sciece say that fems are lacking something?
By science i dont mean a know it all gas bag. i mean a reference to a paper that has been peer reviewed.

Don't you think that's kind of an unfair comparison given that you purchased from a different seed bank/different strain? If you bought one Ace Seed reg pack and another Ace Seed fem pack of the same strain and then said it was lacking in something I'd say okay but to buy one strain from Ace and then a diff strain from Ace kind of makes your results a bit inconclusive.
That article I linked made me buy fem seeds, says their's literally no difference between fem AK and reg AK.
