how to get my buds to fill out

They will fill out the further along into Flowering you get, But I have found if you are wanting the oz and over colas then don't top.The grow I have going at the minute ,has not been topped at all.The Colas are massive on the two Pineapple Express, the Strawberry Glue is also starting to fill out now, more Stair casing.Because the few few weeks it went into a serious stretching.But now its looking well,i nearly took the tops of that stretched too, because I thought I would have gained more weight by getting the tops all Level, so glad I didn't take them off .keep the lights at a height that is good for full coverage, and the right amount of feed, and the colas will come nice and dense.I would much rather have the nice big colas than several smaller ones ,less pruning.But you do have to watch the Humidity with these baseball bat sized tops,i like to get 2 ltr coke bottle sized colas, but after saying all that, it all gets put in a grinders to smoke ,but folk love getting the big colas, if your selling.Me has a buyer,i would want less middle stalk to be honest.

Oh I see, but that's a little fast for a septoria or something along that line to set in to that extent in two days isn't it..? Also in ffof you might be happier bringing your pH between 6.3 - 6.6 ? Good luck I hope it works out!

Oh man it's like 8.9..! forget about it plus they were half dead from drying out to begin with and the more I think about it I put in whatever was sitting there premixed some of it was like 3-2-1 veg, 2-2-2 whatever also un pH water I just poured in whatever was there so everything had something then I had two or 3 more days to lay down and take pain meds, then about a week later it wasn't pretty site :lol:

ok next round ill bring my ph up and that issue was going on for two weeks or so it was worst when i got home and i paniced. the buds seem to be fine thank god

I had similar results when I got lazy and stopped calibrating my ph meter. I also had similar results with straight tap water due to lots of rust in the water. A good water filter and religiously calibrating ph meter and I never had this problem again.

I guess my point is that the 6.0 could be causing the issue ? Anyway I'm glad you got through the first grow wasn't really that bad until the end and it looks like you got plenty of good smoke still going to be had bro so hang in there cuz it only gets easier and better..!

the blackberry is what was having the leaf issue and what ive been reading is they like mag. the cheese was fine. ya i have three rows in my closet i hope its good stuff but i wont know i dont smoke. its for the wife. but thank u for all your input.

Right, and some nutrients can only be absorbed at a certain pH level and you're pH is too low for optimum absorption level in soil.

So while the other strains may be able to handle the deficit, that particular strain cannot, and shows you with necrotic spots

Quit the bottled nutes and build a good organic water only soil and you will never have to ph again.

This is long but has good soil recipes in it. The good thing about organics is you an buy amendments cheap in bulk. You grow in one batch while another batch cooks.

You just keep reusing the soil over and over.

lol I'm in the same wife boat... I rarely smoke and only for the altered perspective. It's really good to keep the ego in check. I Probably smoke about 3 times a year I estimate. That's why my name is every blue moon lol. I don't care what explanation or lesson another can describe. The fact of the matter is that explanations are cheap and inaccurate but experience is all. For example I can explain/describe my feelings and ideas about something for days but you'll never know what it's like to be me and have those feelings or ideas. similarly someone who's never broken a bone or been in love truly understand beyond descriptions given by those who have . My wife is a smokey monster. .. I used to get high all day everyday when I started growing years ago though so I let her do as she pleases.

Got a bit carried away lol.

By NPK ... Nitro is still an important element in flower but is usually at a lower ratio.
However it keeps her green and happy . Excess is where it causes some issues .
PK can also be overdone with boosters and will produce problems too.

That's why I like simple two part nute lines. And even Megacrop from start to finish.

3/4, 1/3rd, something around there?

My base fertilizer has an N of 4 and I add calcium nitrate to make it 19.5 during veg.
But like you have said during flower the buds are stunted and I am just looking to increase it a little.

Its all good. I've used dynagro foliage pro 9-3-6 from start to finish and it worked just fine.

A good balanced 5-5-5 or 20-20-20 works fine, either of those is the same as 1-1-1. Just different concentration.

Nitrogen in flower is needed. Just don't over do it.

When I was doing soil I used to put guano on the top layer of soil. In hydro I add Floralicious grow if I catch the start of any yellowing.

most every Strain that i have grown likes about a 70 day flowering cycle.
with the exception of some Skunk #1 @ around 58-63 days
