I was wondering if there are any Technics to get the most out of your plant, i know you can "top", and tie your plant down to get the best u can for the smallest amount of space, what other Technics are there to get the most possible buds from each plant in a small area. <:)

in watching my grow vs. someone elses ide say the thing that ive yet to do is co2... I didnt know how much of a diff it made until I compared growth rates... I know it really cuts back the amount of time it takes to grow too...

what is 'super cropping", "fimming" and "scrog"? I'd love to hear more.

ATM, i cant afford C02, its too pricey

thanks for the comments people + rep for all :)

well a full blown co2 setup would be... but ive seen people use dry ice, and the yeast sugar method... like others have said... its better than nothing... and that yeast sugar methods dirt cheap ;)

FIMing, stands for fuck I missed lol... but its where you cut just the beginning of the top of the plant... you'll need to look it up to get a good pic of it... but its like topping kinda except when you cut 80% or so of that top shoot your ultimately cutting both of the nodes and both of the fan leaves... so when its done right it becomes 4 branches... altleast thats the impression that ive gotten from reading, havent done it yet. theres a few articles on it...

Scrog... is a screen of green, it involves placing a screen over your plant and then weaving your branches into the screen so that it creates a canopy its the same theory behind tying the plant but it allows for an even canopy where the whole plant is getting an even amount of light... and when it keeps growing you just keep pushing it under the next section of the screen, and then you flower when your ready... provides even coverage for multiple hearty budsites.

Ive tried the FIM technique and its VERY unreliable, you get 4-6 shoots sprawling in EVERY different direction(all out to the side, etc) and the shoot thicknes varies largely. A very Unreliavke Technique Imo.

Super Cropping is also another very horrible idea. Super Cropping is when you prune your plant EXCESSIVELY to cause stress upon it, therefore increasing resin production. Some people go as far as driving a nail through the main stem and letting it heal, but I would suggest doing none of the above techniques except Scrog...

I thought super cropping was when u BENT OVER THE TOPS TILL U HEAR A SNAP..and let it go from there?? maybe i was wrong

no no no, that just sounds like a bad idea. An extreme lst if you will :D

Super Cropping is cutting away certain fan leaves... I personally dont like that as the fan leaves are what the plant uses to collect light. Some say it work, I dont believe it.

Scrog is highly effective; perfect for cab's with low ceilings. Can get the yield of two plants with just one rather easily.

Topping is also quite effective; fimming has its pros and cons.

silverhaze you are correct super cropping is bending tops over so it slows upper growth and allows lower shoots to catch up...it is more stressfull on the plants then other techniques. it has nothing to do with pruning or cutting leaves.etc

there are different ways to super crop-bending,tying,and topping-bending is wat ur talking about, topping is cutting of the top if the plant, and tying is also known as LST(low stress training)all are beneficial when done right
P.S i would practice with one(if u have a couple)till u get a hang of it

yeah the super cropping ive heard about is the bending one not the cutting one... I topped my plants and took the top as clones... working pretty well so far. Ide rather have bushy plants than single stalk towers.

scrogging paired with good lst is going to give you good results and that is proven...
