How to grow better weed?

Ive just started a new grow, of auto white russian, only the one plant though, Its sprouting fine, under CFL lights. Im using a 15cm pot, and using a computer case as a grow box.
To maximise yield, considering I am growing under a limited space, what would you recommend? I cant get a bigger pot, as it becomes wider, and I cant close the side of the pc case, thats with the circular ones, anyway. I also need to watch the height too, as if it grows too big, it will burn on the lights at the top.
Ive seen posts of people using drink bottles, square ones? Would this be ok to use, would the roots be ok to go downwards, rather than sprout outwards?
I basically want to grow the best plant I can, using the least space I can. Thanks

look up lst ( low stress training) it will allow you to have a low wide plant that will fit the pc case better. lst is better for cfls too because the light can not penetrate more than 3 feet.

I would deff. use 12/12 from seed method as a way to control the size. Size is going to be your worst enemy as crowding in my opinion will cause major probs. down the line if not kept under control (but you knew that )

obvioiusly, im aware i cant get a brilliant, like 5 ounce yield lol, but i mean to maximise yield as best i can, within a limited space, however much i will get in the end.
LST training sounds a good idea, but would i still get a nice size plant using the 15cm pot ive got, or should i decide on a deeper pot, where roots can go even deeper, etc? Or using lst, would the size pot i have be sufficient? Im aware im not going to get a great yield using only one plant, within a pc case, but any weed is better than no weed :)

for a bigger pot try something like a square loaf pan, for a loaf of bread. That should fit the size of your case, eh?

what are you growing now? what are you comparing it to? i had a nice long post, but for some reason my fat fingers keep fucking shit up. if my short term memory lets me remember, ill be back.

my question is should i use a bigger pot, whatever that may be, or not, rather than what type i should use, i am interested in what type i should use only if it is more beneficial to use a bigger pot, if that makes sense lol. Ohsin666, im growing auto white russian, im not comparing it to anything to be honest, im more curious if using a bigger pot would be beneficial with growing weed, within the small space i have, and if so, do roots need to spread out, or would they be ok to go down in a deeper medium, and would i have an increased yield this way? Or should I just continue growing in the pot I have, and try to maximise yield using that one? like i said earlier, i know im not going to get a great yield because of limited space, and yeah i agree a high yield in a pc case is a bit of an oxymoron lol, but as long as its an amount that will last longer than 2 bongs, il be happy, i just want to grow as much as i can within a small space.

Getting a bigger pot may or may not help you, it all depends on the space you have, a bigger pot will lead to more room for roots making your plant healthier than if you grew in a small pot and got rootbound . You already don't have a lot of space so you should really consider LST as already mentioned by RyantheRhino, or scrog, also a good alternative. You also have to consider the stretch that will occur during the veg to flower transition, this will add 2-3xs more plant. good luck and Stay high

A new problem, that I think will be ok, but thought Id check with you guys. I replanted to a new pot, and broke some root off, about 4 cm, plant still has about 6 roots on. anyway, ive replanted it, and made sure its standing straight. My question is, considering it still has roots, will this take root, and grow, albeit a few days for plant to root? thanks
