How to increase my yield?

I have a 4.5h X 3.3 X 3 feet box, currently 9 good indica seedlings growing in soil and coco, 2gl pots, 400w hps.

since these are seeds are not fem, a regular scrog is not an option for me. I was thinking of a modular per-plant scrog, which has strong advantages and hardly any disadvantages, it can even be easily made into an arena shape and Vscrog. However, the long grow time may render it unwise for my current grow. But I will do it if it's worth it. Which brings me to the important question:

what is the BEST and most efficient in time/yield method to maximize yield from the space?

I am using all the area I have right now, and I have the option of using double pots (original pot fitted on top of and identical pot), which will take up height but not area, and then double the root space. Most likely that I will.

But I wonder - with 400hps and very bushy indicas, perhaps just topping the main stems and then the sideshoots can be enough for a good canopy with lots of yield?

the thing about scrog is that while it produces more buds and more area space, i am under the impression that the buds produced are a lot smaller than main cola and therefore not as cool. But grams and ounces can't lie - has anyone ever compared identical setups of scrog vs. bush?

top or lst. you can get the same effects of a scrog without the plants being stuck in a screen. check out uncle bens topping technique thread its a sticky.

the biggest way to increase yield is your lighting. keeping proper PH and good ppm/nutes. high temps can reduse yield,
just about any stress is going to decrease your yield.

well yeah, but that's not what I was asking about. Thanks though.

grow vertical.
you get the best out of the lights and best out of the space.
that is kinda cool.
my space is kinda big though, 9 sq foot, and i am growing from reg seeds, so a scrog setup might be a little hard for me at this point. I dunno though, maybe I should try for the modular scrog.

It works really well with the tall lanky sativa's, not as much with the short bushy indica's.

Wet
that sounds true. I have indicas growing very well for over a month and even when not fimmed they're only a bit over a foot high, some of them not even that. nevertheless they are huge.

so i think i'll settle for fimming this time, plus I will bent the plants in the center to have a more bowl shaped canopy.

It depends, in my opinion if the plants you have are bushy they'll scrog nicely. If you have the right strain by all means scrog. I usually just put shorties in the middle and the taller on the outside.
