To the naked eye it may look like there are a lot of trichomes left on the material after running it, but if the trim was frozen, water was cold enough, and agitation was done right, your probably just looking at the stalks of the trichomes... Its the small mushroom head at the top of a trichome that separates from the stalk and gets collected, not the entire stalk. Even after straining when making cannabutter these stalks are still visible but the mushroom head tops have disolved and bonded with the butter. Check with a microscope to see if your process is efficient. What kind of return are you getting from your trim? Should only be up to %10 at the most for good ice wax. Also, cheers for not trying to make BHO out of your trim like others do! Keep it up and stay solventless!!!

how long did you let the trim soak in the water for before you started mixing? i remember matt saying you need to let it soak in the water for 10-20min depending on how dry the trim is, i made that mistake today. I didnt let the plant material soak and become soft before turning on the machine, there fore it smashed all the plant matter up real fine and the water/and hash was extra green.

Try letting the plant material soak in the ice water 10-15 mintues prior to mixing it!

I would say closer to 25-30 mins, since I don't think you can over hydrate it...make sure it's 31 degrees or below if possible during soak- as well the filterd h2o and ice in the pump sprayer. Don't be afraid to really rinse the glands you have collected in each bag before collection either-this has huge benefits ime!!
