You have the right idea with the clothes pins but try using pipe cleaner next time instead of rope, it will make lst quicker and easier.

I wrap a line of mason twine around the middle of my fabric pots and use pipe cleaners. Best way to train

I wrap twine around the branch once, tie the other end to a wooden clothespin and pin the edge of the fabric pot. Once in awhile if the clothespin slips off just put it back on. There's probably better ways, but its what Ive used in the past.

safety pins around the edge of the pots, twisty ties or pipe cleaners that will fit through the holes.

Also those binder clips work great, they have a big hole on each handle, so lots of room for whatever ties you decide to use. Just clip them on to the pots and start tying.
