Okay well there's a few things to consider do u want best set up? Can u afford? Can u afford electic bill? And I'd say 2 1000 if u got $, $-4 bill, and temp control.

Doing it that way you can supplement coolers or water jugs for the rubbermaid... Use rubber seals, you can find the parts at hydro stores or online I do not do a RDWC

How thick are those cooler walls? I imagine they're thicker due to the insulation.

If they're too thick the rubber seals might not work as the width they support isn't
that much more than the thickness of those blue rubbermaid containers.

It will work a simple threaded tube I have done it plenty of times... Similar to the igloo drain replacement kit... check their website

Your set up would be good for rooting clones but you would not want to finnish your plants like that. If you want to do DWC than I would suggest 3.5 gal buckets. This system is very cheap and effective. Each plant has its own bucket which allows for better root growth. Also if you have all your plants in one res then whatever happens to one plant happens to them all. If you add to much nutes than they are all going to burn. But in the individual buckets you can control each one individually.
