Where I grew up you had two choices as parents.. Teach your kids how to shoot safely, or don't and let them go off to learn on their own as soon as they're old enough to bike off the property..
So what if you get caught with 2lbs of weed, 500 baggies and a scale if you only grow for personal consumption too right?? Baggies were on sale, and you only use the scale for baking right..so what, you rent your house to a friend, you have no idea what he is doing there. it won't make a difference because your friend was growing in the rented property instead of a complete stranger.
take your 10yr old to the range and plink some .22's. when hes 12 let him pump off the 20 guage. thats cool. i encourage it.That is certainly tragic, but I read about a kid who died playing high school football. No body thinks kids shouldn't play football. Accidents happen, and sometimes children are hurt or even killed. My heart goes out to that family, I don't even want to imagine what they're going through. I don't own any guns, and I'm not a big gun fan. But to say that kids shouldn't shoot guns is like saying they shouldn't play football or go boating or climb trees. You can't keep you kids in their room wrapped in bubblewrap.
