how advanced can we be? we're still stuck on earth, we haven't explored the bottom of the ocean, we can't get along, and we knowingly destroy our only place to live. we don't have it together at all. the fact that our civilization even made it this far is the single greatest argument for the existence of outside intervention there is. not god, of course. aliens. and i'm only sort of kidding.

Plus there is people living now in what is basically roman times. 3rd world countries without electricity etc.
