moist not wet, take a cube and saturate it with water, then shake it real hard til no more water will shake out. thats how moist you want it.

i usually germinate my seeds in rockwool, i soak it in ph correct water for awhile than take it out put it on a plate ore other surface and let it go... i do the same with clones and never have a problem. sure you could shake it out just don't squeeze it

Do what drama said. Also the reason for not squeezing it is it will compact the rockwool and thats something you dont want because it needs to be a bit fluffy for growth.

so you do want it to be pretty wet then? just not dripping water everywhere?

the reason I ask is that my cubes are very moist, and the roots seem to be slow - (ie. 10 days in and i can only see 3 or 4 at the bottom of the cube)

cheers for the help if anyone every reads this lol

Hej babe, dont worry as Rockwool traps air in between the fibres anyhoo, so it shouldnt be too wet... but yes, as the above fine advice sez... dont squeeze them as youll crush the structure and it wont be quite as beneficial to root growth...
Good luck babes... remember... no squeezing!!!
