How would I be able to tell when the veg stage starts

I’m a new grower and I’m having difficulty finding out how to tell when the veg state starts. Also I forgot what nodes are supposed to look like. Would appreciate any help I get

It starts once the plant produces actual leaves (not the early Cotyledons leaves)and begins photosynthesizing.
