Theres some reasons why I got this book, I'm into Sci_Fi, and eventually we get to the fucked up mother earth ...again, and I have done Fallout 1-3 and las Vegas, and last year I'm in the highlands of Columbia, visiting friends, with the nearest shop is 18 days walk away, and the locals didn't know how to light a fire, with a drill bow, but used Bic lighters, but the only Bic lighter the locals had was empty, and this got me thinking, for thousands of years these natives can start a fire, in a blink of an eye, but now depend on the Bic, and already in less than 25 years have lost their simple crafts already????
So what can we loose in 25 years, like never existed because of some social or monstrous upheaval? guaranteed we will loose electricity, with that will go communication, logistics, then gas and food, sure you can store it up, but how much and for how long do you store this stuff?
A lot does depends on the actual tragedy that is supposed to occur, for the last few years we have been trained to accept nuclear war and the death of earth, but its more likely in the immediate future anyways that it will be the 'old' plague that will return and wipe us out ... if so robbing the local bank of its cash ain't gonna help much!

You didnt have your trusty Flint and Steele necklace on you, for shame...

We got this shit bro humans survive the catastrophe will fuck up a good majority but we will rebuild and hopefully learn from our mistakes, the down fall of America is going to be switching all communications to digital technology, so keep your ham operating license handy nerds.

I would bring us back to the darkages and try to keep us there. We wouldn't be wasting the resources and be living in a more natural state while still keeping us on top of the food chain.... that and it'd be cool as shit to be a knight.
