Howlong to leave in soil,after harvest

my plants r done and i turned lights out so it doesnt overflower,how long is it safe to have plants in buckets until it can be trimmed?Do i need to leave lights on til i harvest everything or do i have to cut it all down and just let it dry and trim as it get crisp?

if you are not going to trim all at once leave light on it will be like pruning a little stress keep in the dark and trim bits at a time alot of stress.

You are good up to 2 days. I usually let mine sit in the dark for a day or 2 to build more trichome and become more resinous and for calyx to swell up a little more. When the light doesn't come on. The plant knows its life is end so it starts pushing out more thc / trichomes trying to catch pollen to develop seeds so its lineage lives on. But since it doesn't get pollentaed the the calyx swell up. Plants develop trichomes while they sleep too.

if they are done you MUST cut them and do not leave them in the soil

I've had one in a bucket with water for about 5 days. Just throw some air stones in there and keep it in the shade.

just harvest what u can.. and let the rest ripen more.. if u have a microscope check the trichs.. that's what a lot of people do.. I like to get the most bud I can per plant. so if some are done.. and I don't have time to trim. I just continue flowering.. no more then a week.. but everyday Id trim. and pull more down .. I have to say.. unless ur harvesting because ur microscope is saying to u that its cloudy and a lot of amber.. then chop them.. but if u think they are clear and cloudy and no amber. I say shit keep them going.. I say get urslef a microscope and harvest accordingly.. fuck breeder flower times. ive noticed them all to be different.
