HPS 250w, Bagseed Flowering Cycle

Whats up everyone, I just got a new digital camera so I can take better pictures now than with my webcam!

Anyway, these plants are in fox farm ocean forest soil, with added perlite. I was running a MH250 bulb for veg, and I just switched to HPS and flowering 12/12 cycle 6 days ago.

The plants are just starting to show their sex, but the new growth is still too small to tell between male or female. I am pretty sure all 4 of my plants are female though. Not to mention they are starting to smell pretty strong.

Anyway, these are all random bagseed from mexico, let me know what you guys think.

Here is a couple pictures of the only plant that I topped along with using LST, and it turned out to be the strongest plant, both smell, and growth wise.

So here is a close up shot of the topped plant. It has new growth forming below the new branch and looks like a preflower, but its still too tiny to tell. The topped plant is also the only plant that developed interlacing nodes so far too. Not sure what that indicates.

Well one of my plants turned out male today. =( It was developing clusters of balls underneath every new leaf growth at the nodes.

So now im down to three plants, I hope I don't get all males again this round! This is the male that I just killed, RIP.

As for the rest of plants, I continued my LST training today.

Good news everyone! The last 3 plants that are alive just showed their sex and they are all females! So now the fun begins, I just hope I can pull an ounce off of each plant at harvest!

Anyway my camera isnt high power enough to take close up shots of the new hairs so I will post pictures as soon as it gets enough hairs on it that the camera shows it.

Also I believe that 2 of the plants are sativa dominate and 1 plant is mostly indica cause it has much broader leaves. So I am probably in for a long flowering cycle.

Today is day 4 of flower since showing sex. The girls are doing good, bud sites are starting to develop.
Day 4, July 25th, 2010.jpgDay 4, July 25th, 2010.jpg

Unfortunately one of my girls is going hermie on the lower branches. So I am going to have to decide if I should kill it or try a feable attempt at crastrating. :o

Nice grow. Sometimes you never know what a bagseed will produce. I've heard they have a higher chance of going hermi. Awesome LST job.
Yeah I just killed the hermie plant. I think its cause I went a little overboard with the LST, the main brach literrally ripped and cracked open. It must have happened during the veg stage. I am assuming that stress is what caused it to herm.

The other two are looking awesome tho and pure female, thank God. Next round once I get a comfirmed female im going to start cloning, it sucks to have to deal with males and hermies.

Here is the balls forming on the herm =(
It had a few hairs, and I thought about keeping it, but too many of the other branches were developing clusters of testies.

Oh and I gave you rep Pablo.

Update Day 6 of flowering since showing sex...

Things are looking pretty good, I may be down to 2 plants, but they seem like they are pretty strong. Bud sites are really starting to show now. I am amazed at how fast they are growing now.

Day 10 update!

The two remaining girls are busting out like crazy. They had quite a bit of sativa stretching during the first few days but now they have stopped growing upward and are now getting fatter. I am also starting to see the beginnings of trichome formation. :weed:

I love seeing bagseed grows. Those are awesome plants which should produce very well for you. You've got them this far, I'm sure you won't harvest too soon.
