hps blew $$%$^%$

so my fuckin bulb took a shit HTG supple got it in feb.. took a shit around 10 am.. went all the way to the store n there fuckin closed.. fuckin memorial day.. really the grow shop closed.. wtf.. anyways.. my ladys have had no lights on them.. i do have t5s but there on the vegin plants.. now tomorrow im going to get the bulb... are the ladys gonna be ok for the time being??

Put some fluorescents on'em, even just a few watts. They won't grow, but it'll keep'em in photoperiod. cn

this time buy a good light and a back-up shitty cheapo hps
also know when handling your bulb there will be oils from fingers on it. rubbing alchohol and a cloth is best to remove the oils, i used to just use a rag thinking i was doing it right and i was just really losing bulb life

and get two now your at it, Im sure we can agree its nice to have a spare one

well im straped on cash and didnt want to spend the chedder on the bulb since i can get one tommaroe replaced.. but i do plan on buying a few more i should have in the first place but didn't now i regret it.. but my ladys come on between 8am-8pm... n its already five.. my closet light been on in there lol if it matters.. but they will be going off in 3 hrs.. i can put my florecents in therei guess for now..

when i use a bulb for 3 grows i replace it, label it and save it for a spare.

Damn thats a good idea the more i think about it. Just got my first real grow light (Apollo 400watt) and it would be a nightmare if one of my bulbs blew. Im gonna go with your method and hope for the best!! What kind of system do you use?

i just use magnetic ballasts. low bay fixtures like the warehouse lights. i just make them remote ballast. check out the link in my sig.
