HPS Digital Ballast Adjusting

Hey all,

I recently converted from CFL, T5 and LED growing to now, a 600 watt HPS full setup (wanted to see the difference in yield). I will be growing 2 clones which will be going into the flowering stage within the next 2 days and wanted to know if they should use all 600 watts of power. My ballast has an adjustable knob enabling me to set it to 50% (half the power) or 75% (3/4) of the power.

My specs are as follows:

- Medium: Soil and perlite mix
- Strain: Indica Wappa (from Paradise seeds)
- Room type: Cabinet 2.5ft depth x 4 ft width x 8ft height
- Currently under CFL, T5 and LED lights for the Vegetation period

Let me know and thanks!

Damned right use it all. Going for yield? Why would you use a single lumen less than your max? Go big to grow big with lights and air handling equipment.

Agreed, the dimming feature is mainly for starting out seedlings/clones when you don't need/want the intensity or to dim the light while your working in your garden.
