Hps in growbox question

Well first off can I put a 250w hps bulb in 3x2x2 box without heating
problems?

And if so, can you guys show me some bulbs and lamps/sockets to use for the bulb,

my box was 4x4x5 with a 400watt and it cooked it. i added a cool tube and a 465 cfm inline fan and now its fine i add cfls to it and still nice and cool. so with a cool tube i would say you would unless you has lots of intake and exhaust going

Idk if I have enough room for a hps. I don't wanna overheat my growin area lol

so go with cfls or T5's both do great

i use a 250 watt hps in a 3'x2'x4'h and temps were around 100-110 degrees F. added cooltube brought it down to 100. added a 6" inline duct booster for exhaust with passive intake holes, brought temps down to room temperature or slightly above. i would go with t5's, cfls could heat up spmething quick if it was really short, i wish my box was more than 4', it was such a pain in the ass to get cooled down.

did you have a fresh air blowing into the room?
