HPS/MH safety concerning radiation or faulty bulbs

Anyone have any information regarding radiation leaks from HPS/MH bulbs or ballasts. I heard this can be a danger from having a setup in your living space. Anyone have any info on the type of dangers that can be caused and how to detect them? What are the chances of some slow undetectable radiation leak that could cause harm over time. Im worried about growing near my living space, even though im already doing it. Sometimes I feel dizzy or get a headache after I'm looking in my grow closet but I just figured it was from the intense light.

its the light or the smell . use glasses . also you can get burned from the bulb like sun burn .

blue glasses and every thing will look like its under white light

Certainly isnt radiation!

What kind of "radiation" are you worried about.

they are worried about getting cancer or some thing . as long as your not under them like some of us for a long time daily your fine ,. I put long sleeves hat glasses sunscreen on my face no worries . your talking 1 light no worries , I get a burnt face with out sunscreen but at times spend 6 hours in the rooms working same as being out side dress for it

I've heard that they can leak harmful radiation if the bulb is broken somehow. But obviously you could tell if it was broken.. but ya know..
