HPS or CFL?

ok im about to start a grow in my attic for 2 plants and was wondering wether to use some cfl(if so how many) or HPS light(if so how far away from plant should it be)? And where could i buy the HPS light not online?

get a 250 w Mh/Hps switchable ballast, and u should only need a foot and maybe a half of seperation with proper ventilation and air flow.
