HPS or MH for VEG???

Hey again, i am FINALLY done with my first grow set up, and I'm about to put the clones into my aeroponics system I built. I keep hearing different ppls opinions on using a MH through veg or just keeping the HPS the whole time.


wadda u think and why?

If you have a mh then use it but if you have a hps already then u can just use that.Mh will make your plants grow green and compact the hps will make it grow leggier than the mh but it will still grow good plants.My first grow i used hps all thru now i veg with t5s 24/0 and floweer with my hps.

I have a MH, but it has got to be a year old, and its used, my friend let me borrow the light set up, but I went today to HD and bought a HPS, so i was thinking since I know the HPS is brand new, ya know what I mean?

You can get some dual spectrum HPS bulbs, they have an increased blue light level so that they will veg better than a standard HPS bulb. Dont know how these compare to MH for vegging but I would hazard a guess that MH is still best for vegging.
