I'm kind of amazed and a bit disappointed at how little attention this is getting here at RIU. For fucks sake people. Prop 19 is dead and gone, why are people still going on about it? This could be a HUGE step and it needs as much support from us as it can get. Call your local reps, email them. Call Lamar Smith and tell him off.

"I would like to encourage the committee to vote YES on HR 2306: Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011."

I signed up to bump this thread, however unfortunate, HR 2306 will not even see the light of day. I really don't think there is anything that can change Lamar Smith's mind(or bank account).

Instead of focusing on Lamar Smith and HR 2306, I think all of us should focus on Steele Smith. His case needs all the attention it can get.

I'm sure his name has been mentioned on rollitup.org, however, if you're not aware of his case, please visit www.steelescase.org. This case needs national and global attention and pressure needs to be put on the Justices to finally get the case to trial.

I truly believe that we are one verdict from ending the prohibition of Cannabis.

One reply? Really? It's gotten more replies and support on Jon Stewart's forum than here.

H.R. 2306, the 'Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011'
Love hearing about this kind of stuff. We the people have the power we just need to add our numbers together. Social networking and forums like this are our most powerful tools to fight prohibition and the power hungry monsters of the world. H.R. 2306....... spread the word.

lol what a fail at a attempt to thread jack ;/ No ones cares about him shut up. Talking about something completely different here.

Hmm I dont think HR will get the time of the day as well. This has been tried how many times before now!?! Dont get me wrong now i would love to see this happen in my life time. But as long as we the people are in need of oil, medication, paper etc.... Those players that own those multi million/billion company's in those fields will just keep making sure marijuana stays illegal. More money in it for them. And you know the old saying "months make the workd go round". Hmm i believe that comes into play here.

Something like HR 2306 is the first of it's kind. Considering it's something actually being backed by actual members of congress and not marijuana activists.

The more Americans who write their congressmen/women in support of this, the better the chance this will be taken seriously...

It is being written by two Senators and being backed by D Rohrbacher too. I wrote him and he would love to see it passed. Register to Vote it takes 3 minutes in front of most grocery stores. Use the mail in ballot so you will vote and can do it in the privacy of your home. You can also select no party to pick who you want to instead of a Repub or Dem. Do this if you don;t even donate a dollar to the cause! Please, I am asking you to, before it is you or I doing 6 months in a Cell.
