Hey hey you beautiful people welcome to my first journal!
I first created this journal in the journal section of my profile not realising till after that i should have created it in the Grow Journal's sub-forum... So here we go again

There's bin quite some attention to this Strain and well i gave in to the Hype and got myself a pack.. Recently I have had the Kush bug and on my last grow i threw in a HSO Sour Diesel #2 freebie and well while loving each strain for there separate attributes i found myself rolling mix joints of the two and getting completely blasted into space so with that i wanted to do some form of a SourD x Kush combo and the EmDog was released and well it grabbed me by the balls

I wasn't gonna do a journal but as it seems to be in pretty high demand i thought i would do a mini-journal with a bit of info and a few pics as time is an issue with me but il include as much as i can and update when i can. So enjoy the show

Chapter 1
Where starting this Diary off at day 1 of week 2 at 12/12
I present 2 EmDogs

Pheno 1 - Tight growth
Height when switched at 12/12 65cm
Height after 1 week 12/12 94cm and width is 50cm at widest point




Pheno 2 - Wide and Stetched
Height when switched at 12/12 72cm
Height after 1 week 12/12 107cm and width is 88cm at widest point




If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask and i'l do my best to answer them.
The next proper update we should be seeing the start of some beautiful flowers (hopefully) hehe

Today they have had a lil prune, not a lot just a bit. As it's my first time running these I wanted to just do a free grow and let them do they're thing so I get a good idea of what they are like naturally.
I have a few seeds left of the EmDog (100% germ rate) and so far I am loving what I'm seeing very vigorous growth compared to the Sour Kush by ResP so I will be doing another run of them and with that it will be play time

Hey Hey here's a lil update for you lovely lot

Week 3 Update

Since the last update they have undergone there usual Plant magic Old Timer Grow nute feeding as well as a dose of Delta Neuve as a Folliar spray and 2 waterings of pure water before switching to the PM OT Flowering nutrients of which they have had there first feed of!

So far they are looking stunning really strong structure and seriously starting to smell fantastic now!
They are a lil sensitive on the Nutes and had to back off a bit started to show a tiny bit of burn and on the big Bush pheno i was an idiot and the top of the main cola was just behind the shade so wasn't getting any proper light and starting to claw but i've corrected that problem now and is showing signs of recovery and will be back to her fine looking self soon!

Now for the Ladies

Pheno 1 - Tight growth

Height - 134cm (2 weeks ago it was 94cm and at 12/12 switch was 65cm) = 69cm growth since 12/12 switch
width no accounted for as branches have been tied same for the Pheno 2.



Pheno 2 - Wide and Stretched aka Bushy

Height - 124cm (2 weeks ago it was 107cm and at 12/12 switch was 72cm) = 52cm growth since 12/12 switch (not so stretch pheno more bushy pheno now hehe)
width no accounted for as branches have been tied same for the Pheno 1.

They are in there 3rd week of flowering about to start there 4th I was pretty high at the time and forgot to put 'Flowering' after Week 3 Update hehe

Yes dude! Wicked vid you got some lovely plants there dude! ya Emdog looks like a lovely lady! and using some Bassnectar for the tune! Top choice, I do love his music!

On the next run i do with the EmDog's I will be trying topping and a few other things see how they respond, with this grow i wanted them to be o'natural hehe get a good idea what they're about then mess with em hehe

And now you have got me wanting more Nectar hahaha so i'l leave you with his latest mix!

Now for the update

Week 4 Flowering Update
Since the last update they underwent the usual Plant Magic OT feed,
To be more precise 4ml/l of Old Timer Bloom (NPK ratio of 3-5-4) with 1ml/l of the Bio-Silicon (used at this stage every other feed).
Next feed was just 4ml/l of OT Bloom followed by another feed today of 4ml/l OT Bloom and 1ml/l of Bio-Silicon.

The Ladies have had about 4-5 Weeks of Veg (approx) and 1 week of Germination, I don't know for certain as doing a Journal was not my original intention and tend not to keep records so i apologise.

Pheno 1 - Tight growth

Height - 138cm (4cm of growth since last week) 73cm of growth since 12/12

Smell - More Kush like in smell with a Chemy/fuely undertone with a hint of fruitiness. Just smells so heavy! Instant Couchlock type'o heavy!




Pheno 2 - Bushy

Height - 129cm (5cm of growth since last week) 57cm of growth since 12/12

Smell - Sooo Gooood!! So Chemy! No fruit involved in this one!! Smells so strong! Kushy undertones, more overpowering that Pheno 1. Smells like a true delight!

@DrTran - Yeah dude tis a nice strain i'm pretty damn impressed with it tbh and liking what i'm seeing

Week 6 Flowering Update
Pics where from a few days ago and this was meant for then... ruddy time...

Since the last update they have had my usual Plant Magic Old Timer's Bloom at 4ml/l feeding every 3-4 days with a few pure water feeds in between.

Other than that just a lil trim here n there just general maintenance.

They are both lovely looking plants each having a unique smell but loving them both for the differences.
Altogether so far really impressed with this strain albeit its my first chemdog 4 x og kush variant but I am really liking what i am seeing. I hope the taste and smell live up to my hopes

I'm assuming that from both the plant's growth that the Pheno 1 tight growth is more OG Kush leaning while the Pheno 2 bushy which branched out more with longer buds the Chemdog 4 leaning Pheno? Am I wrong with thinking this?

@Maphisto - Thanks dude for your kind words much appreciated I didn't no, As it was a new stain I just wanted to grow out a couple beans to check her out it's why i grew her naturally instead of topping or Fim'ing or other training techniques. I got a few more ceeds of it and already popped another few, just going to do the smoke test on these two lady's and which ever I prefer I will be keeping as a mother (that's if I get her again, fingers crossed on that) Up until recently I have never kept a mother just forever searching for the strains I really like and honestly I have only ever grown a few which I have grown again and again (from ceed) and only now i'm starting to want to keep a selection of mother's of one's I really like, I have some Sour Amnesia & Blues I am doing on the next run with the EmDog's and I will be making sure to keep a mother of them for sure!!
I could have just said no to answer your question but I figured I'd explain why although I do have a feeling i'm going to regret not taking any clones from these 2 Em's

Week 8 - Flowering Update

What can I say about these two EmDog's, other than I like them that much i've already popped another couple beans!
I'm very impressed with both Pheno's - The tight Kush pheno is covered crazily in Crystals just Resin everywhere! and the Bushy pheno's yield is going to be very Impressive and thats without being topped so I can't wait to see how much I can pull off her next time just the pic's don't really show how big she is! next time better pics!


These girls have been looking quite mature so now they are being flushed with pure water so now all feeding has stopped. All the leaves are now starting to be used up and it's going to be harvest time soon!

@budbro18 - Thank you dude, this grow was just a test basically to see what they where like in comparison to other kush's i've done and out of the two distinct pheno's i'm in love with the tight pheno, i've popped more seeds and hoping i get another like her and if i do i will be keeping her as a mother then turn this into a clone diary I managed to bag myself some of the Dog seeds too at the HTTCC last year along with Engineers Dream which i've yet to pop will be soon though and looking forward to both. I hope you do a diary on the Dog's would be wicked to check out! Your Hog looks Immense!
@DrTran - hehe time flies! Glad you managed to get the beans good to hear! Aww thanks, it was just a rough journal coz like i said there wasn't much info out there with it being a new strain and it's seems that some peeps have benefitted/enjoyed it so i'm glad i've done it! I'l keep it carried on though with the next couple beans i just popped. I hope you have a great grow with them!

Well harvest time has come and they're both down and i'm really happy with the results!
After taking a few lil nubs and speed drying (usually totally against) they are both going to be great smokes!
Anyways a harvest report etc will come over the next couple days when i have more free time.

What's up man great grow very detailed. I have 3 of the emdog going now I was just wondering if u had any pics from early veg so I can compair mine. I'm only 2 and a half weeks in and I'm flipping to 12/12 tomorrow. Again great looking buds man
