Huge mistake/ need some advice

Really trash it, if you failed to check k on them then the roots have probably dried out and seeing you don't even know what a node is, take a little time to educate yourself on the basics then try again. Good luck

The male/female distinction can't be changed by the grower unless something goes wrong during the grow and you end up with a hermaphrodite plant which is both male and female, or you treat your seeds with colloidal silver prior to germination to increase the chances of female plants.
You can stress a female into turning male. My Sidetracked: strain doesn't produce very many males. Last year I topped the hell out of everything after it was in flower because I didn't have a male. Of the 15 plants, 3 flipped to male and 1 changed her name to Herman. This year I've got more plants, but none are showing male yet.

OP, you will be better off without that plant. Pop some more seeds and give it a go. I always tell new growers to grow out bag seed their first time. There isn't the social, economic or emotional stresses of bought seeds.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm doing now, just had a bunch of seeds my friend gave to me so now it's round 2, I don't know anything about the seeds though that's why I was wondering if anything can be done to higher the chances of a female but I guess we'll just have to see

There are ways of having better chances of getting females but you are a long ways from learning that. You need to hammer out the basics first.

Sub Cool says that when you germinate at temps higher than 85F, it leads to more males. So I would recommend cooler than that. But a normal rate would be something like 4 to 1 females to males. In nature, one male can service scores of females.
