so this is going to be a product review... obviously the product's name is in the title...

what gravity is, for those who haven't heard of it, is a late stage flower hardener/denser... you use it about 3 weeks prior to harvest.. and it is supposed to make your flower super hard and super dense... thusly adding weight to your flowers... this sounded great to me so i picked up a small bottle...

i read the label and it was somewhat vague.. actually it sorta scared me... the dosages they recommend using are ultra low... which means its a VERY strong product... plus it says to use on only healthy plants... which again leads to be a strong product...

when i started researching the product on the internet i came up with a lot of mixed responses... same said it worked.. some said it didnt.. some said it just burnt the shit out of their plants... it was close to a 50/50 response.. but it was enough to make me really consider whether or not to try it out...

after a long time thinking i decided to break down and try it out in my hydro system... i have girls about 3 weeks from flower.. so it seemed like a good time.. i mean, i cant have my own opinion without actually using it.. the label said to use 1 to 2 ml per gallon of water and run 5 to 12 days... yes, that is a very large window... but it seems that all crops vary with use of this stuff.. so the company pretty much says "go lighter for longer, or heavier for a shorter time" when using their product...

i ended up running 40ml in a 55 gallon res for 7 days.... here are the results...

POSITIVE - ill start out by saying this product works amazingly.. it does EXACTLY what it says it does... the flowers on my plants are rock hard at this time...

before using gravity i thought i was going to make it through flowering with minimal supporting of my girls.. just a few branches here and there.. well those that wanted to start bending under their own weight had to be quickly supported the best i could... otherwise they would be laying on the ground right now... and the girls i thought could support themselves without question, are now starting to lean.... and trust me when i say its not due to weak stems... the colas are definitely that heavy from the extra weight put on them during the week run... so i warn you, if you use this product, dont assume any of your plants are going to hold the weight put on up... support them early!!

NEGATIVE - 2 things... the first is that they claim gravity will add on mass as well as density/weight... i didnt notice that... i have seen some swelling of course.. but nothing out of the ordinary... same as i would have seen other wise... not that its a big deal.. just dont use it expecting it to be a bloom booster... it may help some.. but not much....

also, take extreme caution when using this product... everything i read about them burning your plants is true.. this stuff is STRONG... but that doesnt make it bad or unusable.. you just need to be on the side of caution... i ran a little under 1/2 strength of what they said to use and still got burn.. not enough to ruin anything.. but it was noticeable.. especially on the flowers directly under the lights... they got a little cripsy... but again nothing that made me stop running it and flush the plants... bottom line, go easy with this... it doesnt take much for it to work....

i would post pics except for some reason on i havent been able to post them for a while... and also because you cant actually see the density of the flowers... but i will say that it does work.. just be careful...

Just started using the Gravity flower hardener to. I noticed the buds ripened quicker, white hairs turned red. I've also experimented with adding really small amounts of black strap molassis with the mix. I've kept my PPM super low, 900-1000. I wish I could do more of a controlled experiment to really show the results. I have a lot of variables that are thrown into the mix that could be affecting my results. I say at this point Gravity is a go, I got a small bottle of the stuff and I will use it sparingly until finished. I think it made my clipping a hell of alot easier to-less little buds to mess with. Thanks good luck

i also like the results i have gotten from this product. i also use purple maxx. both worked great for me in my soil grows. harder denser buds with noticibly more crystals and slighty purple in a non purp strain. i could tell difference from this havest and last big time. it works but go easy

I have just started using gravity as well... put it in a day or two ago at 1.5 ml's per gallon so we'll see how it works. I also have purple maxx but havent used it yet because im afraid of the bacteria growth Ive heard from it... Im using aeroponic so I guess the aeration from the aeroponic setup doesnt mix well and creates a huge mess. Have you tried to to foliar feed with purple maxx? I wonder if it can be done during flower and how far into flower would be good?

Its so hard to actually get a good review on how to use both of them together... Ive tried many searches and have only had one person that I pm'ed responded with some actual information.

i never tried PM.. got some bushmaster i want to try.. but i prefer running a higher ppm thn using a nute booster like that.. it kinda scares me!!!

Yes it does work with advance nutes I'm growing at the grand master grower level and it works excellent HOWEVER you will want to be extremely careful using this product stay right at the recomended level they suggest i stayed right under the required amount by about 80 % what the recomened to use.. as the bottle says more is NOT better! a friend used it and used more than he should of and fried the shit out of his plants!!!

The reason you experienced the burn on the leaves directly under the lights is because you are supposed to raise your lights to at least 24" from the tops when you first apply the product or you will burn the plant...I believe it says it on the bottle I have here

that happened to me a little bit. i foliar fed about a week ago and i have a spot under my most intense part of my led oops oh well. i did it a little bit early to be cause i wanted to feed foliar vs in the soil. my plants over all are healthy. not sure if this is the problem but funny i found this thread when trying to figure out why i have that little bit of burn on some of my leaves when i in fact was using one of their free samples of purple max most of my plants are about 24" from the led's but that spot is a lot closer. i will see if i can get a pic soon. when reading the brochure i got with it it said you didn't have to change the lights any more because they changed it but i moved my lights up anyways for other reasons. here's my journal so far
