Humidifier help

My humidifier crapped out and I need a replacement. I noticed that no one seems to run an evaporative style, is there a reason. The evaporative type has a higher capacity for the money. Any help is appreciated.

I love evap. The others are unhealthy imo

Drawbacks
Germs in the water can be released into the room air
Ultrasonic humidifiers are maintenance-intensive
The room temperature is lowered as the cold mist is generated
Condensation forms in the vicinity
Solids (lime) are atomized with the water and settle as fine dust on the furniture

I consider those to be serious drawbacks.

Con to evaporative style is it creates heat
Better in a larger space
But I do use one
